At the University of Plymouth, learning and development is at the core of our staff's growth and success. We are committed to continuous development through strategic learning and development initiatives that align with our 2030 vision. By collaborating with departments and schools across the University, we aim to enhance staff performance and ensure access to high-quality learning experiences for all staff members.

We're looking for a passionate and driven Assistant Learning and Development Partner to join our team. Reporting to the Senior Learning and Development Partner, you'll lead on some key learning and development initiatives including managing our Preferred Supplier List and ensuring the effective delivery of training that aligns with our strategic goals.

You'll also analyse training data and generate reports to enhance our learning and development strategy.

In this role, you'll help design and deliver training programmes, particularly around leadership and soft skills, and support the continuous improvement of our Performance & Development Review (PDR) process. You'll work collaboratively across different areas of the University to communicate and promote learning and development opportunities, ensuring our staff have seamless access to these resources.

We need someone with excellent organisational and communication skills, a solid understanding of data analysis, and adult learning principles. Proven experience in managing learning and development projects, using data to inform decisions, and delivering training programmes.

Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other digital tools is a plus.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone eager to make an impact and grow their career in learning and development.

Please demonstrate how you meet the essential criteria outlined in the knowledge, qualifications, training and experience elements of the job description in your supporting statement.

Remote working is available up to 2 days a week.

We offer a competitive salary package and a generous pension and holiday scheme. We also offer a range of other benefits/support mechanisms, including ongoing development opportunities, flexible working, staff networks and enhanced maternity, paternity and adoption leave.
