They are now seeking a passionate and dynamic English teacher to join the Secondary School team and contribute to the continued success of the students.
The Role:As an English teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with the potential for teaching Key Stage 5. You will inspire students to develop a love for reading, writing, and critical thinking while helping them build the skills necessary for success in both their academic and personal lives.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, deliver, and assess engaging and effective English lessons.
- Develop schemes of work and resources that support the curriculum.
- Monitor and support student progress, providing feedback to help them improve.
- Foster a positive and supportive classroom environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistency and best practice in teaching.
- Participate in school-wide activities and contribute to the wider life of the school.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Hold a relevant degree (e.g., English, English Literature) and a teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS).
- Have a passion for English and the ability to inspire students.
- Demonstrate excellent subject knowledge and a strong understanding of the National Curriculum.
- Be a positive and enthusiastic team player with strong communication skills.
- Have experience teaching at a secondary school level (desirable, but not essential).
- Show a commitment to the academic, social, and emotional development of students.
