Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated SEN Support Worker to join a fantastic SEN school in Penarth and Barry.

About the Role:

As an SEN Support Worker, you will provide essential support to students with a range of needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and moderate to severe learning difficulties. Your role will involve:

  • Supporting students in their learning, both in and out of the classroom.
  • Implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour strategies.
  • Working closely with teachers and therapists to ensure students' progress and well-being.
  • Encouraging independence and building students’ confidence.
  • Creating a safe and inclusive environment for all pupils.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN (preferred but not essential).
  • A patient, compassionate, and proactive approach.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • A willingness to undertake training and professional development.
  • A valid DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
