Position overview: We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Youth Worker to join our team. As a Youth Worker, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children and adolescents. Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement engaging programs and activities for youth, with a focus on personal development, leadership, and social responsibility.
  • Build positive relationships with youth and create a supportive environment where they feel valued and respected.
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and advocacy for youth facing challenges or in need of additional support.
  • Collaborate with community partners, volunteers, and staff to enhance program effectiveness and reach more young people.
  • Maintain accurate records of program participation, progress, and outcomes.
  • Stay informed about relevant youth issues, trends, and best practices in youth development.
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience working with youth in a similar capacity, preferably in a non-profit or community-based organization is desired but can be worked up to.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with youth from diverse backgrounds.
  • Excellent communication and listening skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to the organization’s mission and values.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
