Are you organised, detail-oriented and passionate about providing exceptional administrative support? We are seeking a dedicated individual to join the Pre-Assessment Service and contribute to support patients in their pre-assessment journey.
In this vital role, you will be responsible for efficiently arranging appointments for patients, ensuring that the digital pre-assessment system is consistently updated.
You will work closely with the Pre-Assessment Team, providing crucial administrative support

Main duties of the job- Schedule patient pre-assessment appointments, ensuring a variety of date options are offered.
- Respond to patient and staff queries promptly, escalating to clinical staff when necessary.
- Create clinic packs, and ensure documentation is correctly filed.
- Ensure completion of administrative outcomes.
- Support the Pre-Assessment Team with administrative tasks to ensure seamless service delivery.

Person specification
Education
Essential criteria- Educated to GCSE Level or equivalent
- NVQ Level 2 in Business and Administration
Experience
Essential criteria- Experience of dealing with patients and families face to face and via telephone
- Competent in the use of Microsoft Office software
- Experience of working within an administrative role in a healthcare environment
- Experience of working in the NHS
Skills and Abilities
Essential criteria- Organised and able to manage time effectively
- Ability to prioritise workload
- Ability to work under independently, under instruction and part of a team
- Understanding of referral to treatment and 18 weeks
- Understanding of national targets
Communication
Essential criteria- Good communication skills (written/verbal)
- Able to demonstrate tact and diplomacy
