St Joseph's College is a vibrant independent day and boarding school in Ipswich providing a broad and seamless education for over 590 boys and girls aged 2 - 18. We provide a wide range of stimulating and challenging opportunities that our pupils embrace in both the academic and extra-curricular life of the College.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and versatile teacher to join our team, with the ability to teach English, EAL (English as an Additional Language), and/or Spanish. The successful candidate will be a skilled communicator with a passion for language education and a commitment to supporting students of diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds.
You will plan and deliver engaging, inclusive lessons that foster literacy and language acquisition. Whether you're teaching English literature, developing EAL learners’ confidence, or inspiring students through Spanish language and culture, your role will be central to helping students thrive academically and personally.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a forward-thinking, supportive school community.

This permanent and full-time post starting in September 2025 is suitable for both experienced teachers and those new to the profession. The applicant will have strong organisation and time management skills and be willing to contribute to the wider life of the school.

A friendly, approachable and can-do attitude as well as adaptability and resourcefulness are essential qualities, along with a high degree of personal motivation, creativity and drive.
