The successful candidate will be responsible for uploading bank statements, processing payments, posting cash receipts, controlling cash variances, and preparing monthly balance sheet reconciliations.

What you'll do:
As a Cash and Banking Assistant, your role will be pivotal in maintaining the financial integrity of the organisation. You will be entrusted with the responsibility of managing bank statements, processing payments, and ensuring accurate reporting of all cash and credit card related accounts.Your keen eye for detail will aid in controlling cash variances and investigating any discrepancies. Your ability to communicate effectively will be crucial in liaising with sites and external third-party cash collectors.
- Upload bank statements to the accounting system
- Process payments via TT & Bacs to company bank accounts
- Responsible for daily posting of cash receipts collected by external third-party
- Control cash variances by communicating with sites and external third-party cash collectors
- Support sites with related issues to ensure cash is fully reconciled
- Responsible for day-to-day control of forecourt drive-offs, accurately assigning these to the correct site
- Responsible for periodic matching of credit card receipts, ensuring any sales to cash variances are investigated
- Assist in preparation and posting of journals required for accurate reporting of all cash and credit card related accounts
- Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations
