Secondary School Support Staff - Manchester

Job Duties:
- Provide support to teachers and students in a secondary school setting
- Assist with classroom activities and help maintain a positive learning environment
- Supervise students during break times and ensure their safety
- Help with administrative tasks such as record-keeping and preparing materials
- Support students with special needs and provide individualised assistance as required
Required Qualifications:
- GCSEs or equivalent qualifications in English and Maths
- Experience working with children or young people
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Education:
A minimum of GCSEs or equivalent qualifications in English and Maths
Experience:
Prior experience working with children or young people is preferred
Knowledge and Skills:
- Understanding of basic educational principles and practises
- Ability to engage and motivate students
- Organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
Preferred Qualifications:
- Additional certifications in education or childcare
- First aid training
Working Conditions:
This role requires working full-time hours in a secondary school environment. The work may involve standing for extended periods and occasional lifting or carrying of materials. The successful candidate will need to undergo a DBS background check.
