Head of Year – Full Time – Permanent (TLR1.2)

The Blandford School is seeking to appoint a highly motivated Head of Year to join our thriving and supportive school. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to lead a year group, creating a positive culture and ethos in line with our school values of Respect, Effort, Positive Attitude and Perseverance.

Teachers of all subjects will be considered, but the ability to teach PE will be an advantage.

Heads of Year oversee the behaviour, attendance, pastoral care and academic progress of their year group and lead a team of tutors delivering our Personal Development Curriculum.

This post would suit candidates with some pastoral experience looking forward to a new and exciting challenge.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
  • A relevant degree
  • This post is suitable for experienced candidates with some pastoral experience

  • The ability to analyse various data streams to ensure effective support of students
  • Forward thinking disposition, creative, receptive to change and able to work within and contribute to the continual development of the team.
  • Knowledge of the pastoral care, external agencies and mechanism of support
