The role – SEN Teaching Assistant
This role is to support pupils with Special Educational Needs as a Teaching assistant in a primary and/or secondary setting. You will be responsible for working with pupils who have a mixture of special educational needs and disabilities. Working with them on a 1:1 or small group basis and providing direct support along their learning journey.Adapting their work to cater to a mixture of abilities and needs.
You will be responsible for safeguarding. creating a safe learning environment, encouraging positive and good behaviour, supporting the class teacher and other staff, supervision of children, reporting and welfare checks, communicating with others.
You need to be proactive and supportive as well as hard working, energetic and ready to learn each day. You must be empathetic, professional and want to work with young people to make a difference in their learning journeys.
Training/ CPD is available at the schools and with Qualiteach

This SEN schools we recruit for are based across London and they cater to a mixture of age groups and abilities.
You will need to let us know what age groups, SEN areas and locations you feel most comfortable with to enable us to match you to our schools for a trial / interview.
