Banana Moon Day Nurseries is a leading provider of high-quality childcare and early years education. We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursery Deputy Manager to join our team in delivering exceptional care and education to children.

As the Nursery Deputy Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Nursery Manager in the day-to-day management of the nursery. You will be responsible for providing a safe and nurturing environment for children, overseeing the implementation of the curriculum, and ensuring the smooth running of operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Nursery Manager in implementing and maintaining policies and procedures.
  • Support and supervise nursery staff, providing guidance and training as needed.
  • Ensure the nursery is compliant with regulatory requirements and health and safety guidelines.
  • Build positive relationships with children, families, and staff, fostering a culture of inclusivity and respect.
  • Assist in planning and organizing age-appropriate activities and learning experiences for children.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the nursery's quality of care and education.

The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong background in early years education, along with proven experience in a leadership or supervisory position within a nursery setting. You should have a deep understanding of early years frameworks and regulations, and a genuine passion for providing the best possible start in life for young children.

Requirements
  • Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a senior role within an early years setting.
  • Sound knowledge of the EYFS framework and statutory requirements.
  • Experience in leading and motivating a team of nursery staff.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • DBS clearance and relevant safeguarding training.
  • Sound knowledge of OFSTED's education inspection framework
