What is the objective of this role and what does it consist of?
Do you have experience in Engineering Software Development – ITP Aero are looking for an Engineering Software Developer to join our growing team in Whetstone, Leicestershire.
The successful candidate will join our software development team and will work on the development of our ESATAN-TMS product. If you are looking for a new challenge please read on!
What profile are we looking for?- Education: Has a BSc or master’s degree in physics, engineering, maths
- or equivalent (essential)
- Experience required:
- Experience of software development for desktop focused analytical applications in an engineering or scientific environment. (essential).
- Knowledge in:
- Developing in C++ (essential) [3 year’s]
- Developing in Java, C# or similar (essential)
- Software version control like Git (essential)
- Software engineering processes (essential)
- Object-oriented software design such as UML (desirable)
- Graphic libraries, such as DirectX, OpenGL or similar (desirable)
- Language: English (essential)
- Soft Skills:
- Technical problem-solving skills (desirable)
- Written and verbal communication/presentation skills (desirable)
- Enthusiastic, can-do approach (desirable)
What training will you receive to be able to carry out the role?
You will work alongside a strategic multidisciplinary team for the company, and you will be able to apply your knowledge in our tool ESATAN-TMS and join our team of engineers, mathematicians, physicists and computing experts to provide the broadest technical base for development of professional, scientific software.
You will be trained in:- Use of the ESATAN-TMS tool set
- Use of software development tools
- Various online software development modules
- You want to work in a small development team.
- You are motivated by developing software tools and problem solving.
- You enjoy contributing to the development of leading-edge analysis software.
Who will I work with (in my team and in collaboration with other areas)?
You will work at ITP Aero from its site in Whetstone, Leicestershire under the guidance of professionals with extensive experience in the sector in a leading company in aeronautical engines and components that ranks among the top companies in the global aeronautical industry.
You will report to the Software Development Manager and work closely with the development team on the maintenance of the product and on the implementation of new functionality.
What are the working hours?
Days – 37 hours per week working Monday to Friday with flexibility (core hours 09:00-16:00)
