Working to develop and deliver training events to a multi-faceted range of stakeholders- Procurement professionals, operational end users, finance and suppliers you’ll be confident in presenting to audiences in person and via online platforms (MS Teams- experience is desirable).

You’ll bring an outgoing personality and have the ability to create and communicate technical and strategic material in a clear, engaging and enjoyable way.

The Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (LYPFT) is the main provider of Mental Health and Learning Disability services in Leeds. We also provide specialist inpatient services in York and some highly specialised services across the country.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

Events
  • To support with the planning and execution of events both internal and external
  • To develop, deliver & run events to meet the requirements of the NOE CPC
  • To support colleagues to ensure all supporting materials are available in a timely manner for each event
  • Excellent presentation skills and a confident, outgoing style in person and via virtual systems
  • Proficiency in MS Office and in the use of MS Teams
  • Comfortable to engage with all levels of stakeholders from a range of backgrounds & disciplines
  • Able to co-ordinate events with the Events Team, other functions and external stakeholders
  • Able to delivery complex/technical information in a clear way to a wide range of stakeholders
  • Confident telephone manner and interpersonal skills to communicate with venues, speakers and delegates
  • Attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communications skills are vital to this role.
New Business
  • Promote NOE CPC aims, objectives and values to drive uptake of NOE CPC membership
  • Direct contact with staff and stakeholders on matters relating to new business opportunities and/or events
  • Dealing with relevant complaints proactively and ensuring escalation/brokering complaints to ensure these are dealt with by the relevant person(s) only when necessary
Commercial Operations
  • Liaise with all members of the team at all levels across the organisation and within external stakeholders, to ensure key corporate functions are supported, providing cover where necessary.
  • Provide input and updates to the team at meetings
  • Maintain high level of confidentiality at all times.
  • Identify strategic opportunities to enhance existing business.
  • Network with wider organisation to identify, promote and support training and event requirements

Essential criteria
  • 5 GCSEs at Grade C or equivalent including Mathematics and English

Skills

Essential criteria
  • Strong capability in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook).
  • Must have the ability to prioritise and work to tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to demonstrate flexibility and high standards of customer service when dealing with the senior team, the wider Commercial Operations Team and external/internal stakeholders and members.

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Experience of servicing meetings, preparing notes, agendas, and taking minutes.

Fixed Term Contracts for existing NHS Employees – temporary contracts for employees of LYPFT, or colleagues joining from another NHS Trust, will be offered on a secondment basis wherever possible. In the event this is not possible, an FTC would be issued and this would require a break in service of two weeks.

The purpose of a temporary is role could be for maternity cover, temporary funding or some other reason. At the end of which the need for the temporary work will cease. Temporary roles can stop, be extended and/or made permanent at any point during the period of work.

Should the role become permanent then the post-holder will be informed of the process to be followed to convert the position to a permanent one.

Please note that from 1st July 2018, all new employees are required to subscribe to the DBS Update Service, DBS checks for volunteers remain free of charge.
