English Teacher – Alternative Provision (Full-Time) – Torquay
Are you a passionate English Teacher looking for a rewarding role in a supportive and well-established alternative provision? Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting for a full-time English Teacher to join a welcoming and friendly team in Torquay.This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and behavioural challenges.
The Role:
- Full-time English Teacher position in a small alternative provision
- Working with students who require additional support due to SEMH and behavioural needs
- Teaching in small classes to provide tailored learning and intervention
- Supporting students’ reintegration into mainstream education
- Starting after the Easter holidays and continuing until the end of the academic year (with potential for a permanent role)
What We’re Looking For:
- A qualified English Teacher (QTS/QTLS) or an experienced unqualified educator with relevant experience
- A passion for working with students who require additional behavioural and emotional support
- Experience in SEMH settings is desirable but not essential—a willingness to learn and adapt is key!
- Strong behaviour management skills and a patient, compassionate approach
