Nursery School Teacher duties:
- Early Years Education: Plan, deliver, and assess engaging learning activities that support the developmental needs of young children.
- Child Development: Observe and assess children’s progress, ensuring individual needs are met, and track their personal, social, and emotional development.
- Create a Positive Learning Environment: Develop a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment where children feel valued and confident to explore, learn, and grow.
- Support Social Skills: Encourage social interaction, cooperative play, and positive behavior within the classroom.
- Parent Communication: Build strong relationships with parents and guardians, keeping them informed of their child's progress and development.
- Collaborate with Colleagues: Work with other teachers and staff to create a cohesive, dynamic learning environment.
- Health & Safety: Ensure the classroom environment is safe, clean, and meets all health and safety standards.
What is required as a Nursery School Teacher:
- Experience: Previous experience working with young children in a nursery or early years setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of Early Years Framework: Understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum and how it supports child development.
- Creativity & Enthusiasm: Ability to plan and implement creative, play-based activities that engage and inspire young children.
- Strong Communication Skills: Clear communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Patience & Compassion: A warm, caring approach to working with children and the ability to manage diverse needs with patience and understanding.
- DBS Check: A current DBS check (or willingness to undergo one) is required.
