Music Teacher

The successful candidate will be a passionate subject advocate, eager to communicate their enthusiasm for music in order to encourage Lampton students to strive for success and promote the Performing Arts within the school community. Applicants should be willing to teach a wide range of musical genres and instruments, and be dedicated, enthusiastic and creative.They will be a flexible, team player, committed to supporting departmental colleagues and they will readily contribute to the wider life of the department and school through extra-curricular clubs. The ability to teach GCSE Music as well as a second subject is desirable, but not essential.

The Performing Arts department is an ambitious, committed and hardworking team of teachers with 2 drama teachers and 2 music teachers who are all passionate about their subjects. We also have 6 visiting peripatetic teachers from Hounslow Music Service who play an important role in the department, supporting at concerts and often running extra-curricular activities.The department offers a broad and balanced core curriculum at KS3 and offers Eduqas GCSE at KS4. The department benefits from 2 music classrooms, 5 practice rooms, and secure storage for the wide range of specialist equipment we have within the department.
One of the classrooms is set up with 20 computers to support the department's development of the use of music technology in the curriculum. We also have a grand piano in our Main Hall.
