Hours: 40 hours per week, Term Time only + 3 weeks (42 weeks a year worked)
Salary: £11.72 p/hr - £12.04 p/hr depending on experience

It is an exciting time to be part of Aurora, and this is a unique opportunity to be instrumental in the growth of a new school and to make your mark on our growing services.Aurora Cedars School in Wolverhampton offers a bespoke education provision for up to 80 pupils aged 5-19, who have ASC/SEMH needs.
We are currently looking for a School Administrator to join our team, to ensure it fulfils its potential of being an amazing learning environment with facilities to allow students to access a varied curriculum in a calm and nurturing environment with a team that strives to give every student the confidence and opportunities to achieve.
The Role
To be part of the Administration team and provide support with Exams Administration and maintaining the schools Management Information System (MIS). It is essential that the person for this role is organised, able to multitask, work flexibly and have a ‘can do’ approach to work, as no two days are the same.
Key duties:
- To be part of the Administration team as one of the first points of contact for the school: welcoming visitors and responding to telephone and email enquiries in a helpful and constructive manner
- Providing Exams Administration
- Maintaining the schools Management Information System (MIS)
- Ensuring the safety and security of the school at all times, making sure that the front door is locked and entry to the premises controlled
- Maintaining, updating, sorting and retrieving a range of records/statistical data for student assessments
- Following standard procedures for security of confidential data and information
- To support colleagues and senior members of staff to achieve their own work objectives effectively and efficiently
- Maintain positive relations with parents/carers, local authority personnel and the community
Like many SEN environments; your duties are likely to vary and therefore candidates will need to be flexible and be able to lend a hand whenever required.
Skills and Qualifications
Successful candidates are likely to demonstrate:
- Must have excellent computer skills – Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point and ability to use a range of databases.
- Good level of literacy and numeracy (at least 5 GCSEs above C to include English and Maths or the equivalent).
- Demonstrable experience of working in administrative roles or experience of working within a school environment.
- Good organisational skills, ability to work accurately with attention to detail.
- Able to manage own time to deal with multiple tasks
- High levels of interpersonal ability, with excellent written and verbal communication
