Michael Page Finance have just registered a new, permanent Payroll Team Leader position for a well established Manufacturing business based in Stockton on Tees. • Perform daily payroll department operations
• Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely
• Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports
• Understand proper taxation of employer paid benefits
• Process accurate and timely year-end reporting when necessary
• Develop ad hoc financial and operational reporting as needed
• Update and reconcile monthly bank statements
• Collaborate with the Human Resources department and verify the accuracy of employee data

The Successful Applicant

A successful Payroll Clerk should have:

• A strong understanding of business services industry practices
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and payroll software programs
• An ability to handle confidential information
• A strong attention to detail and a dedication to accuracy
• Excellent problem-solving abilities
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
