We’re recruiting some great new support workers, people who are caring and compassionate and want to make a real difference to people’s lives could this be you?

Killelea House is an Intermediate Care service, providing temporary care and support services for adults, some of whom have complex health issues. There may be opportunities to work in the community too.

You don’t need previous experience in caring or healthcare and you won’t need qualifications, We will give you all the support and training you need become a great Support Worker.

As a support worker, your duties will be varied, and no two days will be the same. Your main duties will include:

  • Supporting people with personal care and meal preparation
  • Working alongside nurses and therapists
  • Activities to support people health and well being

Killelea House operates all day, every day, 365 days a year and you’ll work on a rota basis with

At Bury Council we are committed to equalities, we’re inclusive and we value the diversity of the knowledge and life experiences different people bring into our workforce and the wider community. We particularly welcome interest in the support worker role from people who experience inequalities in society and employment including unpaid carers, care leavers, disabled people, people from ethnic minority backgrounds and armed forces personnel (including reservists and veterans).

For an informal chat about the role please contact Dill Hawley on 07794973124 or Louise Palmer on 07703165607.

We are recruiting during three open days on 29th, 30th October and 2nd November, where you’ll be able to have a look around Killelea House and speak to our staff. Then, if you’re interested in joining our team, you can apply and be interviewed on the same day.
