Within GREF, the Global Real Estate & Facilities Intelligence and Digital Experience (GREF IDX) team empowers GREF with the data they need to make better business decisions, manage the Amazon real estate portfolio and deliver a positive employee experience.We are on a mission to use data to inform where, when and with whom work gets done at Amazon.
As a Senior Business Intelligence Engineer, Level 5 within the Global Real Estate & Facilities (GREF) organization at Amazon, you will play a crucial role in driving the development and implementation of advanced business intelligence and analytics solutions.You will leverage your strong technical expertise and analytical skills to empower GREF's cross-functional teams with actionable data insights that support strategic decision-making.
Key job responsibilities- Design and develop robust, scalable, and high-performance BI architectures and data models to address GREF's business intelligence requirements
- Implement efficient data pipelines, ETL processes, and data warehousing solutions to ensure the seamless flow of data from diverse sources
- Build visually engaging, interactive dashboards and reports that provide valuable insights to GREF stakeholders using Amazon QuickSight
- Apply advanced analytics techniques, including statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and machine learning, to uncover hidden patterns and trends within GREF's data
- Collaborate closely with data engineers, data scientists, and business partners to define and deliver impactful BI solutions that drive value for the GREF organization
- Continually evaluate and recommend new BI tools and technologies to enhance GREF's analytical capabilities
- Mentor and guide more junior BI team members, sharing domain expertise and best practices- • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Management Information Systems (MIS), or a related field
- • 6+ years of experience as a Business Intelligence Engineer or similar senior-level role
- • Demonstrated expertise in designing and implementing complex BI architectures and data models
- • Proficient in using leading BI tools and technologies (e.g., Tableau, Amazon QuickSight, Power BI, Looker, AWS Athena, Snowflake)
- • Strong understanding of data engineering concepts and proficiency in SQL, Python, or other data-oriented programming languages
- • Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills
- • Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver successful BI initiatives- • Extensive experience with Amazon QuickSight
- • Expertise in advanced analytics techniques, such as machine learning and predictive modeling
- • Background in the real estate or workplace industry
- • Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure)
- • Proven track record of mentoring and leading more junior BI professionals
