About the Role

As a Kitchen Assistant, you will be experienced with food preparation and catering in accordance with Health and Safety and Food Standard regulations. Monitor and maintain kitchen cleaning schedules ensuring that all areas of the kitchen are immaculately clean; including the washing up of crockery and utensils when required.

About You;- Able to demonstrate an ability to manage pressure, prioritise tasks and communicate effectively at all levels.
- Acting as the link between the main kitchen and our residents
- Assisting the chefs to plate meals, prepare food trolleys and ensure all preparation areas are kept clean and tidy
- Genuine interest in working in a care home environment.
- Previous experience working in a Care Home environment is desirable but not essential.
- A committed and organised approach.
- A confident communicator with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Flexible to work shifts.

Hope Green Residential Home
Hope Green is located on the edge of the village of Poynton and is conveniently located close to junction 1 of the M60 motorway. Local shops, library, hairdressers, surgery, pharmacy and public house are all within walking distance. Hope Green Residential Home was originally built in the late 18th century and has been used as a care home since 1990.The home has been extended and refurbished to provide accommodation for 52 residents in luxury surroundings. All rooms are fully carpeted and decorated to a high standard and have a nurse call system, fire detection and bedroom furniture. Carers encourage residents to bring small items of furniture to personalise their room.
Hope Green now boasts three lounge areas, three dining rooms, a hairdressing salon and full assisted bathrooms. Residents can enjoy the well maintained garden with its large secluded patio and separate sun lounge. Within the extension, residents can enjoy the garden with bi-folding doors, bringing the outside in.
Parking is available for up to 25 cars.
