Assistant Maintenance Supervisor

I am seeking a skilled Assistant Maintenance Supervisor to join our Maintenance Team. This role involves performing basic repairs and ensuring that facilities are tidy and functional. The ideal candidate will have a background in the service apartment industry, excellent customer service skills, and a keen eye for detail.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Complete minor repair work, including repairing doors, locks, door frames, handles, and replacing light bulbs, sockets, switches, and window glass.
• Check control panels and electrical wiring to identify issues requiring immediate attention.
• Install appliances and equipment.
• Maintain garden/yard areas, including trash collection.
• Conduct maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs and troubleshooting equipment and systems like ventilation.
• Check functionality of safety systems such as fire alarms.
• Collaborate with workers and other professionals during renovations.
• Report to the Maintenance Supervisor for issues needing further follow-up or investigation.
• Take inventory of maintenance supplies and notify the Supervisor of low and depleted supplies.
• Handle plumbing-related issues, including unclogging drains and fixing leaks.
• Engage in painting, decorating, masking, and grouting.
• Respond promptly to requests for emergency repairs and clean-ups.
• Train and develop the maintenance team.
• Maintain good working relationships with Housekeeping and Reception.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven general maintenance experience.
• Sound knowledge of basic plumbing and electrical wiring.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Strong problem-solving and time management skills.
• Effective communication skills and excellent customer care abilities.
• Good hand-eye coordination.
• Team player with sound health and safety awareness.
