Early Years Assistant - Fixed term until 19/12/2025Gracemount Primary School Nursery
Salary: £24,909 - £25,116 (pro-rata for part-time and sessional)Hours: 36 per week, 39 weeks sessional
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Early Years Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be someone who is nurturing in their approach and is capable of building positive relationships with our pupils, parents and staff.At Gracemount we believe that better relationships enable better learning and this will produce better behaviour in school. We are looking for a positive, energetic and enthusiastic person to join our fantastic team.

Example: A EYA on Grade 3 with less than 5 years' service working 36 hours per week for 39 weeks, would be paid:
At lowest scale point: £24,909 x 45.6/52.18 weeks x 36 hours = £21,785 per year (£1,815 per month before tax/NI)At highest scale point: £25,116 x 45.6/52.18 weeks x 36 hours = £21,948 per year (£1,829 per month before tax/NI)
EYAs do not work during the 12 weeks of school holidays, however total salary is paid in 12 equal monthly payments, over the year.
There are also opportunities to work in a holiday hub provision during the school holidays for successful candidates looking to work during the school holidays.

This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.
