Hours per week: 37 Monday – Friday, normal working hours
Role Length: This opening assignment is for 3 months

As a Compliance Officer in the Council’s Children’s Services, you will work to provide high quality support to the management team to ensure to care leavers and to make a lasting difference to the lives of children and families in our support.You will be joining a service that is built on pride and passion, who have high aspirations for children and families and who are committed to empowering them to thrive and be the best they can be.
Key Responsibilities:
Development of tracking systems to ensure annual contact with all young people is maintained, including the provision of birthday and Christmas / festive cards and related payment to young people as well as providing Admin support to front line workers.
Developing and maintaining a tracker of care leaver, contact details including addresses, email addresses, Facebook ID's and phone numbers.Auditing all relevant files to establish that all young people have a birth certificate, provisional driving licence, and relevant identification documents, and supporting front line practitioners to rectify where required.
Be responsible for a quarterly newsletter for care leavers, working with graphic design teams, leading on content.
Maintain accurate electronic records of all of the above via the case management recording system.
Auditing all relevant files to establish that all young people have birth certificate, provisional driving licence, and relevant identification documents, and supporting front line practitioners to rectify where required.
Dealing with the administration of applications for ID documents for those outstanding and being the responsible person within the office notified of new care leavers to ensure they have ID documents and processing relevant applications for care leavers without the three ID documents.
Development of a system to create folders for all care leavers when they come into the service aged 16-17 so that at 18 they have all relevant docs in one place.
Qualifications:
GSCEs or equivalent at grade C or above in English and Maths
Knowledge:
Familiar with budget performance and monitoring - desirable
Experience:
Experience of working as part of a teamExperience of working in a high pressure environment
Experience of working to tight deadlines
Experience of managing own workload effectively
Experience of providing good customer service
Skills & Abilities:
Advanced Excel skills including the management of formulasStrong Excel and Word skills are required, including the ability to create and manage basic formulas in Excel.
Able to work flexibly
