Job Description- Prepare financial statements, business activity reports, and forecasts.
- Monitor financial details to ensure compliance with legal requirements.
- Supervise other employees in the accounting & finance department.
- Develop and maintain internal control and guidelines for accounting transactions and budget preparation.
- Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures.
- Direct internal and external audits to ensure compliance.
- Coordinate more complex accounting projects and initiatives with other members of the accounting & finance team or with other departments.
- Participate in financial standards setting and in the forecast process.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Management Accountant should have:
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- A professional certification such as CMA or ACCA.
- Proficiency in accounting software and experience with a software system implementation.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to direct and supervise.
- An estimated daily salary range of 250 GBP to 350 GBP.
- A positive and professional work environment in Newcastle Upon Tyne.
