Full job description CCTV and Security Engineer
Job Purpose:
As a member of the security installation team, you will be responsible for undertaking various new installation, pre-planned and reactive maintenance works encompassing either, CCTV, Access Control, or Intruder Alarm Systems
You must demonstrate a knowledge of Security System British/EN Standard and knowledge of NSI Standards. You may be required to participate in the companies on call rota.
You will take responsibility for all assigned projects from commencement to completion. You will complete these projects in a manner that exceeds our customers’ expectations and ensures that our work adheres to all company policies and procedure.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities are to:
• Installation, servicing / maintenance, testing, commissioning of Intruder Alarm Systems – IP Surveillance Systems and Access Control Systems or related equipment, follow schematic drawings and building plans in accordance with NSI and relevant Codes of Practice/Policies.
• Providing a quality installation in the most methodical and efficient manner, including the ability to digest detailed scope of works, and working drawings.
• Consulting with ARC (Alarm receiving centres)
• Production of high-quality commissioning and handover documentation
• always Maintaining safe work environment and have a good understanding of Health and Safety i.e. Method, Risk assessments, safe working procedures etc.
• Client training and demonstration of systems.
• Responding to out of hours service calls.
Person Specification
Technical Competencies - Essential
• Demonstrate at least 3 years previous experience in a Security role.
• Demonstrate a general knowledge of Security Systems - Intruder Alarms, Access control, CCTV, and Intercom
• Demonstrate strong communication skills.
• Sound administration skills with an understanding of the importance of paperwork and the accuracy and timeliness of submission of same.
• Full Driving License (subject to inspection for company insurances)
• Employment will be subject to successful BS7858 security screening and Disclosure and Barring Service Check (DBS).
• Must be willing to work away from time to time.
Technical Competencies - Desirable
• Knowledge of IP Systems / Networking is preferable.
• Knowledge of various manufacturers equipment i.e.: Paxton, Honeywell, Texecom , Bosch, Hikvision
• Manufacturers training for any of the following: Paxton, Honeywell, Texecom , Bosch , Hikvision
