4on 2off Shift - Earlies & Lates (9hr Shifts)
Our client is an industrial processing business, part of a larger group, with multiple sites in the UK, they are looking for a driven production shift manager.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Manage, develop and steer the site production team
- Managing a team of 3 team leaders and around 50 production / operational staff
- Make sure the team complies with all company standards - health & safety, hygiene, uniform, PPE
- Planning shifts to meet budgets, handover meetings, workload allocation, managing absences
- Make sure training has been completed for staff and regular performance reviews are conducted
- Look at areas of improvement, suggest lean manufacturing techniques
- Maximise the service, cost and quality of the shift to meet KPi's and customer service levels
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Experience of working in a fast-paced environment - manufacturing, production, FMCG
- Must have worked a rotating shift pattern previously
- Knowledge of change management - process & continuous improvement ideas
- At least 2 years experience in a similar management / team leader role
- Excellent communication skills across a diverse workforce
- Able to work to results driven KPi's
- Confident in carrying out staff training
- Ideally qualified in Health & Safey, hygiene, etc.
- Knowledge of the latest health & safety processes & hygiene standards
