TAX SPECIALIST
Our client is seeking a knowledgeable and dependable Tax Specialist to join their team on a 6-month fixed term contract. This role offers the opportunity to support the International Tax Director with UK and international tax matters and administration.Based ideally in London, but open to applicants across the UK, this position will expose you to all levels of a fast-paced business environment. You'll be challenged across a range of competencies, from technical skills to interpersonal communication.

What you'll do:
As a Tax Specialist, your role will be integral to the smooth operation of our client's business. You will assist with UK corporation tax compliance and governance, prepare QIP calculations, and help set up tax governance controls and processes.Your ability to handle ad hoc queries from various departments will be crucial. Additionally, you will create global tax calendars and control sheets, correspond with tax authorities, participate in projects as they arise, and manage administrative tasks.
- Assist with UK corporation tax compliance and governance.
- Support in the preparation of QIP calculations.
- Help in setting up tax governance controls and processes.
- Address ad hoc tax queries from the wider business.
- Assist in creating global tax calendars and control sheets.
- Support correspondence with tax authorities.
- Participate in projects as they arise.
- Handle administrative tasks such as budgets, reconciliations for tax-related GL accounts.
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Tax Specialist role is a part-qualified tax accountant with a degree-level education. You have direct experience with taxes and possess a commercial mindset. Your knowledge of direct tax requirements in the UK and awareness of international tax issues sets you apart.Experience working in an international environment is key, as is your ability to manage relationships across all levels. Your problem-solving skills are top-notch, and your organisational abilities allow you to meet strict deadlines.
- Part-qualified tax accountant, educated to degree level.
