MOT Tester - Chesterfield

• Job Type: Full-time - 37 Hours a week

We are seeking a skilled Class 4 MOT Tester to join our local authority's transport team. This role involves conducting MOT inspections and ensuring that all vehicles meet the required safety and environmental standards set by the DVSA.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Conduct MOT tests in accordance with DVSA guidelines and standards.
• Identify vehicle defects and provide clear and precise feedback to drivers and vehicle owners.
• Complete all necessary paperwork and online records accurately and in a timely manner.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in the testing facility.
• Stay updated with the latest industry standards and regulations.
• Assist in the repair and maintenance of vehicles as needed.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Valid MOT Testing Licence.
• Proven experience as an MOT Tester.
• Strong understanding of vehicle mechanics and the latest automotive technologies.
• Excellent attention to detail to ensure thorough inspections and record-keeping.
• Good communication skills to effectively interact with team members and vehicle owners.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
