Job Title: Secondary SEN Tutor
Location:

Salary:
£20 - £30 per hour
Job Duties:
- Provide tailored support and guidance to secondary school students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
- Develop individualised learning plans based on students' needs and abilities.
- Deliver engaging lessons and activities to enhance students' academic and social skills.
- Monitor and assess students' progress, adjusting teaching strategies as necessary.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student development.
Required Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
- Experience working with students with SEN in a secondary school setting.
- Knowledge of SEN regulations and best practises in inclusive education.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field.
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a SEN tutor in a secondary school.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Understanding of various learning disabilities and developmental disorders.
- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Proficiency in creating and implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Postgraduate qualification in Special Educational Needs.
- Training in specific interventions for supporting students with SEN.
Working Conditions:
- Flexible working hours based on students' schedules.
- Classroom and one-on-one tutoring sessions with students.
- Regular collaboration with school staff and parents.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
