Senior Solicitor/Legal Director - Residential Plots - Birmingham
A leading national law firm is seeking an experienced Senior Solicitor, ideally at Legal Director level, to join and lead its highly regarded Residential Plots team. This strategic hire comes as the current team head transitions toward retirement, following a long and successful tenure with the firm.
The Residential Plots team operates across several offices nationwide and is recognised for its expertise in acting for major national, regional and boutique housebuilders. The incoming leader will take overall responsibility for the management, coordination, and development of this multi-location team, ensuring a seamless and consistent service for clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading and managing a cross-office team of Solicitors and support staff, handling residential plot sales and related development work.
- Acting as the central point of leadership, providing strategic direction and operational oversight.
- Maintaining and developing strong relationships with a well-established client base, including national and regional housebuilders.
- Ensuring high standards of legal service delivery and regulatory compliance across all locations.
- Contributing to the wider growth and strategic goals of the firm's real estate practice.
The Ideal Candidate:
- A qualified Solicitor with substantial experience in residential development and plot sales.
- Operating at Legal Director level or a senior-level Solicitor, ready to step into a leadership position.
- Demonstrable experience in managing people, processes, and client relationships across multiple locations.
- Commercially minded, highly organised, and committed to team development and client service excellence.
Location: Flexible across the firm's national office network, with hybrid working supported.
