Salary: £85 - £95 Per day
Job Duties:
As a Cover Supervisor, your main responsibility is to oversee and manage a classroom in the absence of the regular teacher. Your duties include supervising students, ensuring they stay on task, managing behaviour, and delivering pre-prepared lesson plans.
Required Qualifications:
- GCSEs or equivalent qualifications in English and Maths
- Experience working with children or young people
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle challenging behaviour effectively
Education:
A minimum of GCSEs or equivalent in English and Maths is required. Any additional education or qualifications in education or child development would be beneficial.
Experience:
Prior experience working with children or young people in an educational setting is preferred. Experience in managing classroom behaviour and delivering lesson plans is advantageous.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Understanding of classroom management techniques
- Ability to follow and deliver lesson plans effectively
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Patience and the ability to remain calm under pressure
Preferred Qualifications:
- Higher education qualifications in education or related field
- Teaching Assistant qualifications
- First Aid certification
Working Conditions:
You will be working in a school environment, following the school timetable and supporting various subjects and age groups. The role may involve dealing with challenging behaviour and adapting to different teaching styles.
