King Edward VII School is seeking to appoint a confident, enthusiastic and highly organised Administration Assistant and Receptionist to provide high-quality administrative and reception support across both the Upper and Lower School sites.
This is an excellent opportunity for a professional and personable individual who enjoys working in a busy school environment and is committed to delivering an efficient and welcoming service to students, parents, staff and visitors.
The successful candidate will act as a first point of contact for the School at designated times, providing a professional reception service alongside comprehensive administrative support to departments across the School.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing written and verbal enquiries
- Maintaining accurate manual and computerised records
- Supporting the organisation of school trips and events
- Preparing and distributing resources for departmental staff
- Providing effective day-to-day administrative support
The successful candidate will:
- Be enthusiastic, proactive and committed
- Have excellent organisational and administrative skills
- Demonstrate a confident and professional manner
- Be proficient in ICT, including strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Be able to work efficiently and effectively within a busy environment

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the successful applicant will be required to apply for an enhanced DBS certificate. As the post will involve regulated activity with children, it is a criminal offence to apply for this post if you are included on the children’s barred list held by the DBS.
