Warehouse Transport Operations Supervisor

Minster is a leading building materials distributor in Northern Europe, is on the hunt for an Operation Supervisor (Warehouse/Transport) who's as passionate about great service as we are.
Hours - 7.00am - 5.00pm Monday to Friday
Minster, St Catherine's Trading Park, Units D&E, Pengam Road, Cardiff, CF24 2RZ
Key Responsibilities- Welcome customers to the branch and take an active interest in their projects
- Managing team of 4 Warehouse Operatives and 4 Drivers
- Producing monthly reports
- Supporting the Branch Manager
- Ensure your team are set up for the day, including delivery drivers with route planning
- Help to process and prepare customer orders - load and unload customer and supplier vehicles using a forklift truck to minimise manual handling (training will be provided!)
- Work as a direct support the management team and act as a keyholder when needed
- Check incoming deliveries and report missing or damaged products
- Maintain stock levels in both the warehouse and yard areas, carrying out regular stock counts
- Keep the branch looking clean and tidy and make Health & Safety a priority
- Work with colleagues to suggest opportunities for improvement

- Previous industry experience preferred
- Background within Warehouse and Transport Management
- A positive team player who is a strong and inclusive leader
- A genuine enthusiasm for dealing with customers, and a 'customer 1st' attitude
- Confident working both indoors and outdoors, with a strong focus on H&S
- Commercial acumen
