We are seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a Vocational Centre in Runcorn. The centre provides a safe and stimulating learning environment where young adults can study vocational courses in Hair and Beauty, Motor Vehicle Maintenance and Engineering, Construction, and Painting and Decorating.This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a dynamic team of experienced and qualified staff who deliver high-quality teaching in an Ofsted-registered facility.
The Role:
- Assist students during classroom activities across various vocational courses, including hands-on practical sessions.
- Provide tailored support and guidance to individual students, helping them to engage fully with the learning material.
- Support student interventions, addressing learning gaps and helping students overcome challenges in their educational journey.
- Work closely with teaching staff to enhance the learning experience, promoting both academic and personal development.
- Encourage students’ independence and confidence in their vocational skills, preparing them for future employment or further study.
Key Requirements:
- Previous experience working in an educational setting, ideally supporting vocational or practical subjects.
- A strong understanding of vocational pathways and a genuine interest in helping students succeed in these fields.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, ensuring they feel supported and confident in their learning.
- Experience in student interventions and supporting learners with additional needs is desirable.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
