Contract: Temporary Pay: £26.68 per hour PAYE or £35.48 per hour UmbrellaHours: 36 hours per week, working Monday - FridayA full UK driving licence is required for this role About the Role: Croydon Council is seeking an experienced and motivated Estates and Environmental Services Team Manager to lead a high-performing team delivering a first-class, customer-focused estates and environmental maintenance service.
In this pivotal role, you'll be responsible for ensuring our estates are clean, safe, and welcoming for residents - while driving continuous improvement, operational excellence, and outstanding customer service standards. You'll lead and develop teams of Caretakers and Bulk Refuse staff, ensuring services are efficient, compliant, and aligned with our vision for vibrant, well-maintained communities across the borough.Key Responsibilities: Lead, motivate and support caretaking and environmental services teams to deliver high-quality, responsive services.Ensure compliance with all health and safety, data protection, and regulatory standards.Drive service improvements, embedding a culture of excellence and accountability.Monitor performance, budgets, and contracts to ensure value for money.Engage effectively with residents, contractors, and partners to ensure community needs are met.Conduct regular inspections and audits to maintain high environmental standards across estates.
