SEMH Behaviour Support Assistant

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting on behalf of a SEMH provision in Northampton, for a confident Behaviour Support Specalist. The role will require you to work alongside a class teacher to support learning, you may also be expected to work 1:1 with children across multiple year groups.

The ideal candidate will be able to:

  • Work effectively as part of a team within the classroom ensuring that all the children are looked after and learning from the taught content.
  • Work 1:1 with children with SEN.
  • Be confident in responding to challenging behaviours
  • Work coherently with teachers in providing support for students.
  • Have a passion for assisting students.
  • Be enthusiastic and proactive in the classroom..
  • Promote and encourage independence and personal development.

Candidates that have been successful within this setting have had some experience in any of the following:

  • Scouts Leadership
  • Sports Coaching
  • Challenging Behaviour Settings
  • Health and Social Care Settings
  • 1:1 Support
  • SEN TA
  • Educational Settings

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
