Working: 37.5hours per week, Monday - Friday
Reports to: Chief Commercial Officer

Location: Farringdon, London EC1R (Hybrid) with global travel as required

We’re looking for a highly experienced, results-driven Senior Business Development Director to drive growth in the Beauty vertical of our innovative MarTech business. This role demands deep Beauty industry expertise, a strong network, and a proven track record of forging high-value partnerships.

You will be instrumental in growing revenue, acquiring new business, and positioning our cutting-edge MarTech solutions as essential tools for Beauty brands seeking to enhance marketing ROI, optimise eCommerce, and leverage analytics for growth.

As a key leader in the commercial team, you’ll shape our Beauty portfolio, building strategic partnerships and developing tailored solutions that meet the needs of today’s Beauty clients.

Your Responsibilities:

Strategic Growth & Sales
  • Deliver £1M+ annual revenue within the first 12-18 months, with sustained year-on-year growth.
  • Drive £500K+ in new business revenue annually by targeting Beauty brands, eCommerce leaders, and retailers.
  • Close 2-3 high-value contracts (worth £250K+ each) per quarter by addressing client needs in eCommerce optimisation and ROI enhancement.
  • Lead ROI-focused conversations with Beauty brands, demonstrating the tangible value of our solutions.
Networking & Industry Influence
  • Leverage your extensive network within the Beauty and eCommerce sectors to generate business opportunities.
  • Build 3-5 strategic partnerships annually with key influencers, agencies, and platforms.
  • Represent the company at 5-8 key industry events, increasing brand visibility and generating leads.
Pipeline & Funnel Management
  • Maintain a healthy sales pipeline valued at 3-5x your annual revenue target, ensuring long-term growth.
  • Provide accurate weekly forecasts via Salesforce to support resource allocation and planning.
Team Leadership
  • Build and lead a high-performing Business Development team, ensuring alignment with company goals.
  • Mentor and support team members to consistently exceed targets (80%+ quota attainment).
What You’ll Bring: Experience & Expertise
  • Commensurate experience in business development or sales leadership in MarTech, digital marketing, or eCommerce, with a strong network in the Beauty sector.
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth, closing high-value deals, and building long-term partnerships.
  • Deep understanding of Beauty industry trends and challenges, particularly in eCommerce and marketing technology.
Skills & Attributes
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills, with experience securing complex, high-value contracts.
  • Tech-savvy with proficiency in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), eCommerce platforms, and web analytics tools.
  • Experience working with global clients and navigating regional strategies.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Annual Revenue Target: £1M+ within the first 12-18 months.
  • New Business Revenue: £500K+ annually.
  • Client Acquisition: 5-10 major Beauty clients per year.
  • Partnership Development: Establish 3-5 strategic partnerships annually.
  • Pipeline Health: Maintain a sales pipeline worth 3-5x the annual revenue target.
