Healthcare Support Worker – Surgical Theatres - Band 3

What to Expect in This Role:
Working in an acute hospital setting can be fast-paced, physically demanding, and emotionally challenging. You will be caring for both male and female adult patients, including providing intimate personal care, while always ensuring dignity and respect.
Shifts include weekdays and on-call duties to provide 24hour emergency service which includes weekends and Bank Holidays

Who Can Apply?
We welcome applications from experienced Healthcare Support Workers and those with NHS experience in an acute setting, even if you haven’t worked in this role before. Full training will be provided.
As a Theatre Healthcare Support Worker , you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of surgical procedures. Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing operating rooms before surgery and maintaining cleanliness afterwards
- Assisting with infection control and ensuring stock levels are maintained
- Supporting theatre nurses, anesthetists, surgeons, and operating department practitioners (ODPs)
- Helping patients feel calm and comfortable before surgery
