An enthusiastic and skilled candidate is required to join a dedicated technical team responsible for ensuring all Natterbox staff have the equipment, systems and facilities they need to do their jobs. Natterbox is a rapidly expanding tech company and the right candidate must enjoy helping people with their IT problems and take pride in managing well configured, automated and organised systems that are easy to use and administer.
This person will love automating and implementing solutions though coding, scripts and system integration to improve efficiency, solve problems and save time. An all round interest and basic understanding of all areas of technology is vital, as well as being a determined, successful and pragmatic problem solver.
Responsibilities- Configuration and management of Google Workspace and other cloud based software and services
- Automation, scripting systems integration using a variety of code and tools
- Staff support services - PC setup and configuration
- Installing and configuring laptops, software and cloud apps
- Assistance with office networking, WiFi and Internet setup and connectivity
- Device data security, privacy, AV and anti-malware systems
- Mobile device management, SIM, phone and tablet setup and configuration
- Production of user guides, help and knowledge base articles
- Staff training, assistance and guidance
- Management of internal asset registers, system logs, risk registers and other databases
Requirements
Essential:
- Educated to A level standard or equivalent in Computing, science or technical subjects
Desirable:
- BTEC, IT apprenticeship and similar technical vocational courses
- Higher education level qualifications
Experience
Essential:
- At least one year working in IT support, development or administration roles
- Google Workspace administrator (certifications preferred).
- Demonstrable technical assistance, support and training skills
- Scripting, coding and system automation and integration
- IT and data-focussed problem solving
- Use of AI tools to supplement knowledge
- PC and Mac hardware and OS setup, configuration and management
- Understanding of good security practices
- Proficient in using spreadsheets, formulas and functions for internal logs, databases, task management etc
- A good understanding of business processes and needs
- A natural desire to automate processes
- A good understanding of data types and the importance of data consistency
- Able to gather, manipulate, store, exchange and manage data sets
- Able to analyse a problem and devise and evaluate multiple alternative solutions
- Able to piece together solutions out of different technologies
- Able to do research, ingest and understand complex technical documentation
- Able to understand and utilise APIs
- Data manipulation and automation using AI tools
- A good knowledge of Windows and/or MacOS
- Hardware configuration, setup, fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Knowledge of databases, data types and structured information systems
- An excellent standard of written and spoken English
- Task focused with excellent organisational skills
