Picture this: You'll be working alongside our current Housekeeper, forming an unbeatable team that's more like a family.

Main duties of the job

The work schedule is:

  • Thursday and Friday - 08:30-12:30
  • Saturday and Sunday - 10:00-13:00
  • Monday - 08:30-12:30

In your daily routine, you will:

  • Perform the magic of transforming bedrooms, flats, and on-call rooms, ensuring they're pristine, beds are freshly made, and rooms are serviced to perfection.
  • Embrace your independence while managing your tasks efficiently and on time.
  • Keep an eagle eye out for any building issues and report them to the residences team.
  • Act as the friendly face and point of contact, addressing queries from our valued tenants while ensuring their properties are in top-notch condition.
  • Utilise a department car for easy access to properties that may not be within walking distance.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Basic Education – Reading and writing plus basic numeric skills
  • Full Driving Licence
Desirable criteria
  • NVQ Level 1 or Cleaning Experience in a similar field

Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Previous experience of working in a small team
Desirable criteria
  • Previous NHS experience

Skills

Essential criteria
  • Able to electronically order required cleaning stocks to ensure they are ready to be used as needed
  • Able to prioritise and use own initiative, when faced with several cleaning requests
  • Able to lift and move items and, equipment, to facilitate cleaning or catering jobs, over the whole of the shift
