Duties and Responsibilities: Assembly Specialist (Primary Focus)
- Perform mechanical assembly of luxury mobile phones according to work instructions and established procedures.
- Operate mechanical systems and testing equipment for mobile phones, following work instructions and established procedures.
- Ensure the highest quality of finished products while meeting/exceeding production output targets.
- Apply right-first-time principles, auditing your own work to guarantee accuracy and compliance with quality standards.
- Escalate assembly issues and collaborate with stakeholders to achieve prompt resolutions.
- Participate in stock checks and assist with resolving material discrepancies.
- Ensure all builds are completed within the agreed time frame, maintaining the security of materials and tools.
- Always promote the brand, maintaining professionalism in appearance, communication, and demeanour.
- Be involved in both internal and external audits to uphold product quality and process compliance.
- Continuously strive to improve assembly techniques and efficiency, contributing to the development of new projects.
- Assembly skills with a focus on producing high-quality products using precise techniques and tools.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment with tight deadlines.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to consistently meet quality and production standards.
- Ability to handle and assemble small components using hand tools with excellent hand/eye coordination.
- Experience preferred of Lean Manufacturing principles, including 5S.
- Safety: Ensure a safe working environment in line with company policies.
- Efficiency/Productivity: Meet or exceed assembly and production targets.
- Quality: Maintain high standards of product quality and minimize rework or returns.
- Lead Times: Ensure production lead times are adhered to and deliveries are on time.
- Material Control: Manage stock accuracy, minimizing waste, and reducing scrap costs.
- Bounce Rate: Ensure low error rates in assembly and dispatch processes.
