Primary purpose will be to support the Sirona BNSSG Head of Equity and Health Inclusion and Health Inclusion Service Leads in operational management of: The Haven
To work with senior clinicians in the planning, provision, improvement and development of this service.
To support and coordinate flow of patients through this service and a number of projects that will contribute to the achievement of service objectives and wider organisational goals as part of the Health Equity and Inclusion Service.
Main duties of the job
As an Operational Service Lead, you will be a key member of the wider Health Equity and Inclusion Service; assisting the Head of Specialist Services and the Head of Equity and Health Inclusion to drive and successfully deliver all Specialist Service (SASS)/corporate compliance, contractual outcomes and provide overall strategic management, business planning and development.
Your role will be key to maintaining and, where possible, improving the performance of the service through an efficient patient flow and the resultant impact on the organisation. You will be required to lead by example to gain the best from services and staff, ensuring they are supported to remain engaged, positively challenged and effective.
You will be responsible for ensuring smooth patient flow, interrogating, monitoring and reporting all performance demands on the Haven for the planning and delivery of high quality, safe and cost-effective care.

Skills, knowledge and experience
Essential criteria- Previous experience working in a Health and or Social Care Community setting and/or other relevant multi- disciplinary environment of a similar size and complexity.
- Understanding of the clinical and corporate governance agendas and reporting mechanisms.
- A good understanding of performance monitoring, corporate and financial data.
- Excellent IT skills with the ability to use find, use and disseminate information using IT.
- Experience of operational management including managing and developing services in a variety of locations.
- Recognised post graduate management / leadership qualification.
- Studying towards or holds a post graduate qualification such as Master’s degree in area of expertise or management.
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management / Health and Social Care
- Knowledge of local, national, strategic and operational policy developments and an awareness of their implications.
- Ability to manage and monitor budgets, identify efficiencies and implement them.
Qualifications
Desirable criteria- Studying towards or holds a post graduate qualification such as Master’s degree in area of expertise or management.
