Legal Cashier
You will be reporting into the Cashiering Manager and being in the office 3 days a week. The London office is based in the City of London
Key Responsibilities for the Legal Cashier:
- Processing and reconciling client and office account transactions in line with SAR and AML guidelines
- Managing daily postings, sub-ledger reconciliations, and payments, including CHAPS, BACS, Faster Payments, and international transfers
- Handling client residual balances, deposit bank accounts, and interest calculations
- Processing staff expenses, supplier invoices, and professional disbursements
- Assisting with SRA Accounts Rules audits and LLP audits
- Contributing to cashiering projects aimed at improving processes and efficiency
The ideal Legal Cashier will have:
- Previous experience in a legal or professional services finance environment
- Strong knowledge of Solicitors Accounts Rules and VAT regulations
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organisational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a deadline-driven environment
