Support Worker - Learning Disabilities

Location: Cramlington or Kenton Residential Homes
Salary: £12.30 per hour, plus sleep-in allowance (£68.00 per sleep-in) and enhanced overtime rates

Hours: 37 hours per week over a 7-day rota

We are looking for dedicated Support Workers to join our client, providing exceptional care and support to individuals with learning disabilities. Whether you're an experienced professional or new to the field, full training will be provided to successful candidates who share our commitment to delivering outstanding care.

About the Role

As a Support Worker, you'll play a key role in helping our tenants live as independently as possible in their own homes. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting tenants with day-to-day life skills, such as housekeeping, shopping, and meal preparation.
  • Encouraging community involvement, maintaining friendships, and fostering confidence and self-esteem.
  • Promoting independence while offering care tailored to each individual's needs.
  • Communicating effectively with the individuals in your care, ensuring their voices are heard and respected.
