Your New Role
The core purpose of this role is to carry out preventative, planned and reactive maintenance across all equipment and facilities on site. To monitor, maintain and operate production equipment safely and efficiently whilst maintaining optimum quality.
This role will be primarily floor based but will be required to cover for Tier 1 operative role as and when required.
Whilst on shift your core duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Efficient Operation and Communication
Assist machine operators with all production equipment across all lines effectively- Assist team with machine set up and run down
- Assist with machine changeovers
- Communicating effectively to other team members across the wider Production, Warehouse and Engineering team
- Maintaining effective maintenance records
- Carrying out planned maintenance work on the line as instructed
- Carrying out reactive maintenance work on the line as instructed
- Carry out safety inspections across the site as required
- To work alongside contractors to ensure they are inducted and working effectively
- Communicates calmly in a busy environment
- Ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
Quality & Health and Safety
To isolate and correct any defective products • To follow the site’s health and safety policies.
Problem-Solving
To carry out root cause analysis of any defects or issues to remove problems at source and prevent occurrence- To keep downtime to a minimum
- To record downtime effectively
- Work alongside maintenance team to address problems quickly and effectively
- Works on own initiative to correctly identify root cause of problems.
What You'll Need To Succeed
In order to be considered for this role you will need to display the following skills, experience and qualifications:
Essential Criteria
Minimum qualifications:- Level 4 Engineering Qualification (HNC, HND)
- Previous machine operating experience
- Evidence of problem-solving skills & root cause analysis
- Knowledge of Pneumatics, Automation, Conveyors, PLCs, Controllers
- Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings
- Can take instruction well and is eager to learn more
- Right to work in NI / UK
- Ability to demonstrate good communications skills
- Experience of Robotics & Automation
- Evidence of working well in a team
- Evidence of remaining calm under pressure.
3+ years Industry Experience
- Self-managing with good organisational skills
- Welding / Plumbing Experience
- Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment working to BRC standards
- Fork truck licence
- Knowledge of 5S
- Knowledge of facilities maintenance
- Confined space training
- Evidence of training people within a team.
What You'll Get In Return
This role is demanding but well remunerated, offering a salary of £45000 for a 4 day week with no nights or weekends as standard.
The attractive shift pattern runs across Monday- Friday 06:00
- 16:30 (70 minutes break per day) with your day off rotating weekly across a 5 week pattern.
