General Science Teacher
As a General Science Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering engaging, high-quality lessons that foster curiosity, critical thinking, and a love for science.

Duties as a General Science Teacher:
- Deliver High-Quality Lessons: Plan and teach science lessons that are engaging, informative, and tailored to students' learning needs.
- Curriculum Delivery: Teach across multiple science disciplines, including biology, chemistry, and physics, ensuring adherence to the curriculum and educational standards.
- Assess Student Progress: Use a variety of assessment methods to track student progress, provide timely feedback, and adjust instruction accordingly.
- Promote Scientific Inquiry: Foster a love of science by encouraging curiosity, problem-solving, and critical thinking both in the classroom and through practical experiments.
- Classroom Management: Create and maintain a positive, safe, and respectful classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Collaborate with Colleagues: Work closely with other members of the science department and the wider school community to enhance the educational experience for students.
- Engage with Parents and Guardians: Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and well-being.
What you will bring as a General Science Teacher:
- Educational Requirements: A degree in Science or a related subject, and a recognised teaching qualification (QTS).
- Experience: Previous experience teaching general science at [Key Stage3/4] level is highly desirable.
- Subject Knowledge: Strong understanding and knowledge of science disciplines including biology, chemistry, and physics.
- Passion for Teaching: A passion for teaching and inspiring students in the field of science.
- Effective Communication: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage students and collaborate with colleagues.
- Classroom Management: Proven ability to maintain discipline and create a positive learning environment.
- DBS Check: Must be willing to undergo a current DBS check (or provide a valid one).
