Children’s Health Care Support Worker Assessment Day

Tuesday 25th March

The event is designed around the role you are applying for. You'll take part in a number of exercises & activities on the day, both individually & together with other candidates.

The Assessment will include:
  • Scenario based group assessment
  • Scenario based written assessment
  • Individual interviews

The assessment should take up to 2 hours

To be consider for this role please submit your application, this will then be reviewed and shortlisting will take place. Those that meet the required criteria will then be invited to attend the assessment day, please note that we will be unable to take applications on the day.

This post would require the successful candidate to travel during work out of hours in the evenings and throughout the night when public transport is not available, you would therefore require a driving licence and access to a vehicle to meet the requirements of the role, or alternatively evidence how you able to travel as required to meet the needs of the service.

The Children’s Packages of Care team (CPOC) care for children with very complex needs in the community, this could be at home, in school or out in the community. Shift patterns include working day shifts, night shifts and weekends.

You will be working for LSCFT’s Clinical Team of the Year, 2023. Working for the NHS you will benefit from a minimum of 27 days paid annual leave plus bank holidays. Enhanced rate for nights and weekend work. You will receive high quality training and regular team wellbeing sessions.

We are looking for highly motivated and enthusiastic people to join our team due to expansion within the service.

The ideal candidates will have experience in a health care, social care or education setting working with children. An NVQ3 in care or equivalent care experience is desired, however full training will be given.

Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust provides a range of services including secondary mental health care across this area. Specialist provision comprises inpatient child and adolescent mental health services, perinatal mental health and forensic services including low and medium secure care.

The Trust also provides a range of physical health and well-being services in the community alongside a range of partners in the Lancashire, Cumbria and Sefton area.
