Our Community Dental Service is an award-winning, forward-thinking service which is proud of the care it provides to the people of Bradford and Airedale.
We are seeking to appoint an experienced and passionate dentist with a strong interest in managing and treating adult special care patients. We are looking for a dedicated professional with a caring and compassionate attitude, who is enthusiastic and committed to improving patient care and contributing to our team’s mission of delivering an outstanding patient experience.

Some travel across the district and managing a mixed case load are requirements of the role to successfully undertake the range of duties specified within the job description.

Main duties of the job

The postholder will be expected to provide comprehensive, advanced clinical care to patients within the Community Dental Service. This may include providing dental care under conscious sedation or general anaesthesia where appropriate.

  • Highly experienced clinician with post-qualification experience and a proven track record in dentistry.
  • Demonstrate experience of treating patients with special needs
  • Experience of working with other agencies
  • Willingness to contribute to overall service strategy and development
Desirable criteria
  • Experience of treating patients with conscious sedation and general anaesthetic
  • Management experience
  • Varied clinical experience in primary and secondary dental care
  • Previous experience of working in the Community Dental Service
