Teaching Personnel is working with Secondary schools in the northern areas of the West Midlands (Tamworth, Lichfield and Rugeley) who are looking for Sports Coach's to work with their schools on a flexible basis, with the potential for long term positions as well.

You must be confidenr supervising and leading large numbers of students, as you will be leading classes of up to 35 students.

Job Duties
  • Deliver engaging and age-appropriate sports coaching sessions to Secondary school students.
  • Plan and organise sports activities, drills, and games to enhance students' physical abilities and skills.
  • Teach fundamental sports techniques, rules, and strategies to students.
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive environment for all participants by implementing appropriate behaviour management techniques.
  • Assess and monitor students' progress, providing constructive feedback and encouragement.
  • Collaborate with other coaches and school staff to coordinate sports events and competitions.
  • Promote sportsmanship, teamwork, and fair play among students.
  • Adhere to safeguarding policies and procedures, ensuring the welfare and safety of all students.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Enhanced Child Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) clearance.
  • Level 2 or Level 3 Sports Coaching qualification.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience workingwith children
  • Experience in a sports coaching setting
  • Strong behaviour management skills.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
